2007 Karl Lawrence Cabernet Sauvignon - USA, California, Napa Valley (2/25/2012)
Drank out of a 375ml. Following the 1995 Mondavi Stag’s Leap District earlier in the evening, the nose explodes of sweet caramel and the admitted fruit bomb. First taste confirms the caramel apple and wow is this wine a perfect contrast to the restrained 95 Mondavi SLD. Both bottles are “regular” bottlings and inspire greatly contrasting reactions. Do I love them both? Why yes I do. “Do I contradict myself? Very well then, I contract myself. I am large. I contain multitudes.” – Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass (92 pts.)
