2007 Jonata Winery La Flor de Jonata - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Ynez Valley (6/15/2009)
I’m not much of a white wine drinker, but can say this is a fantastic wine. Drank over dinner with crab cakes. Light yellowish-gold in color. Nose has hints of granny smith apple, flower blossoms. Light to medium body, crisp and deftly balanced. Flavors of citrus oil, granny smith apple. A really beautiful wine. (94 pts.)

Just made the switch from eBob board to WB, and wanted to test the CT integration, alas the above TN post. Glad to see this board up and running with lots of members and folks from the eBob board. Excited to be here.
Welcome Jim. I had the wine in April and agree that it is stunning.
Great call jim - posted on this wine here a week or so ago and gave it one more point than you did!
Jack, Craig and other fans of the La Flor de Jonata,
I went into my local wine shop (WineHound) looking to purchase another bottle. The owner told me he wasn’t carrying it because it’s difficult to sell an $85 bottle of Sauv Blanc these days. Probably true.
But then he said “I do carry Jonata’s second label, and they’re great wines”.
Apparently Jonata makes a second label called 101 Wine Company and they make three wines titled “The Pairing”. I purchased the Sauv Blanc/Semillion blend for $21 and it was fantastic. They also make a Pinot Noir and a BDX blend I haven’t tasted yet but will in the near future.
