2007 Herman Story Grenache On The Road - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Barbara County (2/1/2010)
Popped and poured and followed over four hours. Big powerful nose on pop and pour. The dark cherries and plum jump out of the glass. After time, an enticing hint of smoke begins to come out on the nose. The palate is medium bodied and packed with dark stone fruit, with the dark cherries being clearly evident. Finish shows some strong tannins that warrant further cellaring to allow to it develop more. Big wine but holds the 16.1% abv well. Great QPR. (91 pts.)
