TN: 2007 Ferrando Bianca Carema Nebbiolo

Opened an '06 recently - yes, earlier this year (April or May?), mine was singing. Couldn’t wish for a better showing. Outstanding vintage, too, in my opinion.

Still worth it at twice the old price - an emphatic yes to that as well. But then, I am a fanboy

Never heard. What is it? A restaurant? A village? I’ll certainly go there next time I drive through that region.

The 11 is pretty lovely now. Tasted side-by-side with the 10 a few months ago, the wine might even be more open, but they are pretty comparable in quality.

I just saw the 07 Nera on sale and grabbed a few. I have many vintages of the Bianca, but not the Nera. I might crack one just to see what its like - sounds like it might need a very good decant…

Bought half a case a few years ago, after Galloni’s review (94pts) . . . have had two over the past year, and agree–it’s a wonderful wine. Would buy more if I could, and am still looking for the 2010 in my neck of the woods.
