TN: 2007 Domaine Séguinot-Bordet Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume

  • 2007 Domaine Séguinot-Bordet Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume - France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru (2/18/2009)
Tight minerally expression on day one, balanced with clean acidity. An hour of air lets the Chardonnay start expressing itself better with nice lemon custard notes. Day two brings out some banana on the nose and the palate has rounded out some yet maintains the clean minerally finish. Stupid silly bargain at $20 and has plenty of years ahead of it.

Bumped into this while perusing the aisles. $20 for Premier Cru Chablis? Like duh buy. Burghound gave it an 89-91 for reference.

Cris… Was this the Chablis you brought Wednesday night? If so, your notes are spot on. Delightful wine.

Thats the one! The last half a glass really opened up tonight as I noted.

Glad to see you over here. [cheers.gif]

Excellent. I see a trip to Winex in my near future.

I think you converted a few of the malo-lovers in the group over to the wonders of Chablis.

Thanks for the tip Cris. I just picked up 4 at WineX. Can’t beat that. [thank_you.gif]
