2007 Domaine Hippolyte Reverdy Sancerre - France, Loire Valley, Upper Loire, Sancerre (1/24/2010)
From 375 with an artificial cork, which surprised us. Very tasty from the get-go, with mouthwatering acidity, stone fruits and minerals. With a bit more air, emerging gooseberry and some melon/pineapple, but no overt cat pee. Nice balance. This screams for oysters or other shellfish, but paired successfully with a feta, avocado, and watermelon salad.
