2007 Domaine Georg Rafael Cabernet Sauvignon - USA, California, Napa Valley, Mt. Veeder (9/11/2014)
Nose of bright dark fruits with blackcherry and black raspberry right up there. Hints of warm leather add interest. Palate shows a wonderfully evolving pure and precise Napa Cabernet. Black fruit driven with some mid-weight dryness that I am not used to but certainly exact for this wine. I would say this one leans more toward the traditional style Cab that so many out there are screaming for. Balance is very admirable and tannins are a bit chewy still. Finish goes long. This is a conveyor belt of pure black goodness. If you like wines like Corison and older Mayacamas, this one is for you. A Tom Farella wine. (91 pts.)
