TN: 2007 Domaine Félines Jourdan Coteaux du Languedoc Picpoul-de-Pinet

  • 2007 Domaine Félines Jourdan Coteaux du Languedoc Picpoul-de-Pinet - France, Languedoc Roussillon, Languedoc, Coteaux du Languedoc Picpoul-de-Pinet (7/21/2009)
Tasty stuff here. A bright, medium yellow in the glass. This offers aromas of ripe honeydew melon, crisp apple and sweet lime. In the mouth, light but assertive notes of almond paste, green apple, lemon butter and a hint of cardamom. The acidity is mouthpuckering and invites sip after sip. A light bodied wine that demands the freshest bivalves available. It would be interesting to see this with a couple more years on it, where the nutmeat/spice notes would be more prominent. Very well done. (89 pts.)

Nice, Picpoul-de-Pinet hard to find in my area but when it does show up few buyers. Staff hand-sell job eh

Actually, this one is flying off the shelves. The New York Times called it “addictive” recently.

Disclaimer: I represent the winery so I am not only proud of it but also horribly biased. [wink.gif]
