2007 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault 1er Cru Gouttes d’Or - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru (1/19/2012)
Light golden in color. A beautiful nose of lemon curd, apples, some nuttiness, and white flowers: all very clean, fresh and pure. Mid weighted, but more than “mid-complexed” on the palate with great purity and depth. A quite finely chiseled wine that has power without weight and a great balance of acid, fruit, and minerality. There is good depth and tension that I love in many 07s and this is no exception. There are levels to this wine, and plenty of potential. Wish I had the courage to cellar these wines longer. Beautiful. 93pts (93 pts.)
