TN: 2007 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Côtes du Rhône Lieu-Dit Clavin

• 2007 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Côtes du Rhône Lieu-Dit Clavin - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Côtes du Rhône (3/7/2010)
  A bit more subtle than some of the other cotes du rhones from 2007 i’ve had, but what this may not have in overall power it makes up with finesse and depth. It took about an hour or two for the nose to really come alive, but once it did flavors of espresso and subtle oak mixed with red and black fruit. Not as big on the more traditional old world characteristics in my mind, but there’s no lack of complexity and depth here. I think this will also benefit from 3-5 years of aging. (90 pts.)
