2007 Chehalem Pinot Noir Ridgecrest - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Ribbon Ridge (4/13/2011)
Transparent ruby red with a touch of bricking around the edge. Wonderfully expressive aromatics. Floral notes with allspice and some red fruit. Medium bodied This wine shows extremely high acidity with tart red fruit, pomegranate and rhubarb with austere earthy notes. Good tannic structure here, with subtle, but surprising length. The structure is in front of the fruit right now, hold on to these.
This has a future, but will benefit from nice grilled salmon and mushrooms at this point of life. A very good bottle of wine.
