    Purple to rim, nose a little shy at first but after 30 minutes lots of dark fruits, spice, and pepper. Full bodied, ripe deep fruit, very good balancing acidity and tannins enough to suggest it will go another few years at least, finish is medium in lenght with fruit falling off a bit at the end to reveal a little alcoholic heat, so perhaps this is not a long-term ager. Still, excellent wine and a great QPR. Great match with grilled ribeye.

Molesworth said the 07s are a ripe crop and would be earlier drinkers than the 05s or 06s. I just didn’t think he meant this early! Guess I should take an 07 out and try it. They won’t normally get touched for 3-5 years. I’m not even considering drinking my 05s for quite some time.

I’ve loved just about everything I’ve had from St. Cosme. This one is no exception.
