TN: 2007 Château de Beaucastel Côtes du Rhône Coudoulet de Beaucastel

  • 2007 Château de Beaucastel Côtes du Rhône Coudoulet de Beaucastel - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Côtes du Rhône (1/12/2011)
This is just an absolutely delightful bottle of wine. This was popped and poured. beautiful clear garnet color. The nose is fruit, soft cherry and a little spice, hint of cinnamon, some floral notes. The flavor is an explosion of well balanced fruit and spice, black cherry, a touch of earth, licorice. The complexity is way over the pay grade. I could kick myself for not picking up a second case of this when it was available for <$18 per. looking forward to 10 more of these beauties. Drinking well now but I don’t see any rush to drink these as they may even get better. (92 pts.)

Thanks for the check in Don. I had a few of these on release and loved it. Have 3 left and am waiting a couple years before I check in. Nice to hear it is still drinking well.
