2007 Brian Carter Cellars Byzance - USA, Washington, Columbia Valley (12/8/2014)
Dark ruby, cinnamon nose. Tart dry with metallic mineral, light cherries with stone fruit tannins. Another night and we are hit with bright berry acids followed with stone fruit tannins with slight bitter notes. Enough blackberry and cherry for the fruit lovers and enough restraint for those of us on the other side of the aisle. (91 pts.)
