2007 Bouchard Finlayson Pinot Noir Galpin Peak - South Africa, Walker Bay (11/22/2014)
Deep dark ruby, funky nose. Dry with some funky tart fruit, boysenberry with tart chalky tannins showing some earthy mineral. Developing some nice acid notes with open time. It really come alive on night two, I was told to let it breathe. Bright berry with prevalent acids and stemmy tannins, mossy forest notes. AFWE from South Africa, I love the '07s. All that drank too soon, you missed out, drinking great now with a decant, and a good deal of time ahead for those with some in the cellar. (92 pts.)
