    14.8% alcohol. Dark red color. Aromatic and pretty at this point already, but showing the darker profile and greater structure of the vintage. Black cherry, baking spice, and a bit of funky earth on the nose. The palate is lush and expansive, delivering all the promise of the nose. Good acidity. Long finish that shows a bit of tannin and oak. A-

Good timing. I had the '06 August West Graham Family at a dinner last night. It smelled great, but I thought it was a little too lush and expansive on the palate. Weighty came to mind. I met Ed this past summer at a conference and he seemed like a really good, low key guy. I’m not looking for such luch pinot noir, but the '06 was obviously well made and the '07 sounds similar.

Yeah, the 06 is more open for business right now but definitely a warmer climate Pinot.

Ed is a fantastic guy. One of the most fun dudes in the business.
