2007 Ash Hollow Malbec - USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Walla Walla Valley (6/22/2014)
Inky dark purple, blue fruit nose. Dry, medium fruit with some bitter on the PnP, 88 pts. Blackberry, leather with dry tannins on the finish. With a couple hours open, it’s starting to become balanced with the acid, fruit and tannins, smooth mouthfeel. Tart blackberries, loganberries with a slightly bitter tannin finish. Better with food and some more cellar time will be well spent… (89 pts.)
