2007 Anderson’s Conn Valley Vineyards Chardonnay - USA, California, Napa Valley, Carneros (10/8/2009)
nose: lovely and round nose with good depth and tones of tangerines, white fruits, bits of butter, and fresh citrus tones. Really succulent nose that has the california touch to it, but has a real good expression of chardonnay at the same time
taste: tasty medium/full body with good medium+ acidity with lovely round tones of fresh citrus’, bits of white fruits, tangerines, and some bits of navel oranges
overall: a wonderful chardonnay. Medium/Full bodied that is really seamless on the palate. Could use a bit of aging to add some extra depth and weight on the palate, but this is really tasty stuff right now. Shocked at the alcohol as it hides it completely. There is no way to know that this is at 15.8. Needed a bit of time to really open up, so a decant of about 45 minutes to an hour would probably really do the trick right now (91 pts.)
