2007 A. et P. de Villaine Aligoté Bouzeron - France, Burgundy, Côte Chalonnaise, Bouzeron (9/16/2009)
WIML89
Tasted September 16, 2009 at an offline.
Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose wet stones, light grapefruits, a dash of orange and a hint of graham cracker. Flavors of lime, orange, a little grapefruit and minerals. Medium to bright acidity, light to medium body. Drink over the short term and perhaps the medium term. (89 pts.)
I think these wines are often underrated. Aubert does great things with aligote.
Indeed, these are kind of a revelation.
I dig these notes, but it would sure be easier to put them all in one thread and not have a thread for each one. ![truce [truce.gif]](/uploads/db3686/original/2X/d/d33e712b50d5efc2425bf219c404fbdb7ed0ba50.gif)
I’ve been a huge de Villaine fan for years. This Aligote isn’t as cheap as it once was, but it’s always quality stuff.
Just has the 1999 red the other day…still doing well, dont really see it getting better…but very nice.
Sometimes I do depending on the event. For instance, see the Paul Does Dallas thread. That was a Berserker offline so I posted one thread. The problem is sometimes I post notes individually as I have time. That might be one now, 4 this afternoon, 2 tomorrow morning, etc… I think the real problem is i just flat out post a TON of notes!
