    Popped and poured, enjoyed over 4 hours. Wonderful nose of bacon, roasted meat, smoke and dark fruits. The balance with all of Terry’s wines is incredible. Yes this is rich and voluptuous, but it also carries substantial acidity that allows it to be paired with food and bodes well for some substantial ageing. Sublime finish.

Had this over Labor Day. I agree with your notes. A very good wine. It does need some time though to reach peak IMO.

We enjoyed a bottle of Hoage’s '06 The Pick a few weeks ago. Also a very good wine. Although, I do not believe I gave it enough of a chance to open properly given it’s youth.

Loren, how long do you think this needs before hitting its prime drinking window? I have one, I would like to hit it in its “sweet spot.”
