2006 Terry Hoage Vineyards Grenache Skins - USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles (12/27/2009)
Decanted three hours, consumed over three. Red fruits dominate the nose. The palate is a cacophony of sour cherries, minerality, cinnamon, allspice and clove. Long, spicy finish.

– 90% Grenache, 10% Syrah –

The bouquet on this Grenache-based blend is very tight, but it’s possible to coax-out aromas of rich raspberries and spice. Nutmeg and blackberries are the main players on the tannic palate. Garnet color of incredible depth; medium-full bodied. This is a big wine that needs some time.
