2006 Sojourn Cabernet Sauvignon Home Ranch - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Valley (8/25/2009)
This was the wine of the day. On opening I smelled and tasted chocolate. This was rich and substantive. Really tasty. At the 40 minute mark, this got really smooth, with a hint of spice. My cousin thought it was a syrah (he’s trying). At 90 minutes, it was smoking. Sorry I don’t have any more at home, but happy I have several of Craigs pinots sleeping.
For a wine in the mid $30’s, it tasted like something more expensive. (91 pts.)
