No decanting here. Popped open and the cherries, strawberries and minerals engulfed my mouth in a very seductive Chambolle like intensity… As the wine opened throughout the evening the medium complexity began to show and the fruit became more seductive… This is a great Burgundy that will get better with time but oh so tasty now… 92 points
Good notes. I love this stuff, and buy when ever I find it reasonably priced.
Leah, how long did you have it open?
I love Roumier’s wines, but I find this one to be my least favorite. It’s a little more rustic and sometimes tight compared to his other wines. Still, this sounds lovely.
Leah,
Thanks for the note, good to know.
Cheers,

This is probably my least favorite Roumier wine but still a fine wine. A local store had a blowout sale a couple years ago on different vintages. I was picking it up for under $20.
Great note. I brought this to a blind tasting about a month ago and it showed quite nicely.
Todd- 3 hour span and it continued improving.
Michel- I haven’t bought any of Roumier’s Bussière since the 02’ which disappointed me… Thought I would give it another shot since I like the 06’s and they are still pretty accessible… This is really nice with more Chambolle character which I love!
Leah, good to know, thanks!
Great info. Thanks for the note. Sounds very nice.

Seems like this is a common sentiment on '06 reds.
Just a quick comment, since I found Leah’s note over here. She opened this at a shindig at my place last weekend, and it was delicious if on the young side. Not complex enough for a “wow,” but certainly a very strong “yum plus” if you follow my non-pointy scale. The bottle was one of the ones drained by the end of the evening…
