2006 Robert Biale Petite Sirah Royal Punishers - USA, California, Napa Valley (9/5/2009)
WIML90
Tasted September 5, 2009 at a retail tasting.
Purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of perfume, camphor, white pepper and currants. Flavors of currants, plums and berries. Light to medium acidity, medium tannins and body. Drink now with some air time or continue to hold. (90 pts.)
Isn’t this a $50 wine - or thereabouts? Ridiculous.
I already tossed the spec sheets but if it is a $50.00 bottle then IMHO it’s not worth it.
Yes, a $40-$50 wine. I wish that they would just concentrate on Zinfandel, as I do not enjoy any of their other wines.
Well, their Aldo’s and Monte Rosso zins are $58. Please.
At least the Zins are good, IMO. I am not a buyer, but I would consume the wine. The Syrahs, IMO, are just not very good.
