Very much like Biale’s Zins - Nice nose of smoky blackberry fruit, limestone and white pepper with just a hint of dusty earth. Very velvety and sweet on the palate with gobs of spicy blackberry fruit and just a hint of heat on the finish. Very nice. Not at all like an Italian version, but a good new world interpretation.
JUd, did you buy this locally. I love the B iale wines, but dont seem to see them around here much
Zach - I was in their wine club until recently. Just starting to build up too much wine so they were cut this year. Email Jayme Silva at Biale and I’m sure he would be happy to sign you up!
Jayme is good people…having said that though, their zins are getting too alchoholic and over the top for me.
Agreed, I love them, but they’re starting to cross that border between balanced and just too much.
Also, the prices are starting to really creep up there.
$45 a bottle plus shipping and tax make it a pricey zin.
