TN: 2006 Rivers-Marie Pinot Noir Summa Vineyard

    Dinner at Palate. While clearly on the young side, this wine exhibited a beautifully sweet core of black cherries, red plum, fresh blueberries, and violets. Pure and seamless on the palate, this wine has tremendous precision and focus. Reminded me at times of Chambolle Musigny. 92-93 points. (92 pts.)

I am anxious to try this wine, but then I’m also feeling like I should let them rest a few years, yet…

However, it seems to show so well, it’s hard to resist.

Had this with Dan the day after berserkfest. Even with 2-3 hours it was still pretty tight. Very soft and silky but the fruit didn’t really shine through. Granted we didn’t have a decanter available.

I only have 2, so thank you. Sounds like 2 to 3 more years is rational as well! After popping an 06 Compteche from Anthill, I’m pumped to see your note.
