TN: 2006 Londer Anderson Valley Pinot Noir

2006 Londer Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. From Londer, Valley Foothills, Ferrington, Donnelly Creek vyds. 14.8% alkie. With dinner at GlassHalfull in Carrboro on Monday 1/2 price wine night, $24.

I’m 99% sure this was the blend, not the estate. Fairly deep red, not opaque but dark. Nose of a little cola, spice, red berries, a little earthy. Pretty ripe, a bit jammy but still bright acid, clean and the alcohol didn’t stick out much. Soft tannins, medium bodied. Jim (co-owner) says bacon fat; I get some earthiness and mushrooms. Bright fruits of ripe but tart cherries. Nice finish. Good wine, thumbs up and a steal for restaurant pricing.

Larry’s Paraboll is a really terrific bottle of PN.
