TN: 2006 Kutch Pinot Noir Russian River Valley

    Got our mailer today, decided this was as good of a time as any to visit an earlier vintage. The wine had a great cherry nose on opening. Didnt decant, poured one glass that was sipped for close to 30 minutes. It was integratdnicely, slight tightness left, but not much. This is in a nice window now. the is red fruit like cherry and plum and then a slight hint of Mint hits on the back end. CT says this wine will go until 2013 and while I have no reason to doubt this, there is no reason to wait. I do not feel that the wine is that tannic or tight that there is a need to wait, Drink away (92 pts.)
