After getting fired up on the Dealing with Police thread, I decided to take it out on this bottle of Pinot.
As always, the nose is blackberry and spice. On the palate, raspberry to black berry, with a hint of black tea, (just like winemaker Michael Browne said there would be). The fruit lingers on the palate and can be manipulated between raspberry and blackberry by (respectively) swishing the wine with the tongue or sucking some air through it in the mouth.
Kudos to Mark and Michael for making such an enjoyable Pinot that showcases the Russian River fruit. I would love to try this wine in about two to three years to how it ages, but I can’t quit drinking it.
Since Carrie’s palate is much more refined than mine I’ll ask her to post her notes on it too.
