2006 Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Clos de la Maréchale Blanc
Can’t seem to get my hands on any reds so I was surprised to snag some of the whites on an Envoyer offer. The aroma started with a touch of sulfer and then quickly progressed to a beautiful floral, citrus, fruit aroma. It’s not as acidic or mineral as a nice Puligny-Montrachet but is softer and more buttery on the palate with a hint of honeydew melon and lemon zest. I’ll try to keep the 2005 hidden and bring it to an offline…really interesting and delicious stuff. Not gonna lie though, there is probably a 40% chance of that bottle making it that long.
