TN: 2006 Inman Family Pinot Noir Olivet Grange Vineyard

  • 2006 Inman Family Pinot Noir Olivet Grange Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (6/20/2009)
Decanted one hour, enjoyed over 3. Translucent red color. Bright red fruits and spice on the nose. Dark cherries, spice, flowers, minerality. Smooth, rich, elegant, delicious. Wonderfully balanced. A beautiful expression of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, showing all of the complexity that this grape has to offer.

Had the 2005 recently and thought much the same.
Best, Jim

Nice note, Jim. The 2006 really is showing well fairly early. I think it’s flashier than the 2005, which may in the end be the better wine. But, man, Kathleen really kicked it up with her wines in 2005 and 2006. Just fantastic stuff coming out of that vineyard.

Thanks for the note Brian. Just got a few of these. Will pop one this fall once they’re shipped. Sounds like my kind of pinot.
Cheers.
