TN: 2006 Holdredge Pinot Noir, Bucher Vineyard

2006 Holdredge Pinot Noir, Bucher Vineyard:

This stuff flat out rocks. [dance.gif]

Gorgeous red cherry fruit. Tart in the mouth, with a burst of crunchy, mouth-puckering acidity. Beautiful balance, and food-friendly. Lithe and smooth finish has subtle earthiness and long, soft tannins. Oak is judiciously kept in check. What’s not to like?

Already my second bottle sampled of these. Drinks very well now but will certainly hold for several years. Among my favorites consumed thus far from the 06 vintage in California. 92 points.

Been loving the Holdredge stuff, all of it.
John is getting better and better.
