2006 Harris Estate Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Treva’s Vineyard - USA, California, Napa Valley (3/5/2010)
This is certainly young. I tried early, gave lots of air and then left for the next day. Very enjoyable and a lot of tannic and acid structure but otherwise it seemed to lack complexity. Admittedly it is very difficult to get past the oak, and I don’t mind oak but this is oakity oak. I would have liked a little more concentration to match the oak. With the structure this wine should show improvement hence my score. (89 pts.)

Interesting note, Jason. I was an early fan of this one, and in a crappy year no less (2003). About 6 months ago there was a HUGE dump on winebid and they sold for something like $40 each. I really wish it showed better than it did. Nice people, top winemaker, but just…I don’t know.
