TN: 2006 Galardi, Terra di Lavoro--do not open

I just got my bottles from Garagiste and had to open up one. This is a wine that I will follow for 2 more days. Initially it reminds me of a rather closed Bordeaux with cedar, coffee and blackcurrant. Not a very open wine that may or may not improve in the next few days, we’ll see.

Read some superb notes on the wine and I was hoping that it was still in the open stage, but I may have missed the mark. Will post over the next 2 days.

Sorry Neal, the wine did not change over the 3 days.

I did take 3 of the 07 from Garagiste and 3 from Daniel. I will hold on the 06’s that I have, as I am afraid I missed the closing mark. Had an 05 about 1 year ago and was impressed.

Thanks for the heads-up. This is a wine I have had only a couple of times (other vintages) and have bought a bunch on the strength of those showings, but I have never had one that I thought was “ready.” Sort of buying on faith here.
