    Coravined 30 minutes before sampling. Lush nose of rich dark fruits – blackberries and black cherry. A unique vibrancy on the nose even tossing off some heat ahead of the first taste. Smooth full-bodied wine of black currants and jam on the palate with a nice finish but lingering heat. Slightly acidic, those notes distract from an otherwise wonderful wine. Next pour I’ll wait 60 minutes before drinking. EMH wines drink fine when young but, in my experience, aged 8 - 12 years really seems to be the right window before sampling these beauties. This ‘06 has plenty of legs in it and I’m greatly looking forward to the next pour. (92 pts.)
