'06 DONNHOFF NORHEIMER KIRSCHHECK SPATLESE
Light almost Mosel color.
Fresh flowery aroma of nectarine key-lime & Nahe fruit-salad nose.
White peach anjou pear fruit salad/quince & hint of Cinnamon/ginger spice on the palate.
A little light for Donnhoff, but great balance & some persistence.
The glass returns to your lips soon as it hits the table.
91.5/100
I also committed infanticide with a young Spatlese recently - there’s something about the freshness of the fruit with the acidity and sweetness that makes a young Spat enjoyable…
Nice, Todd!
I probably drink ~ 90% of the Mosel (& Sarr, & Ruwer!), Rheingau, Nahe, Rheinhessen, & Pfalz wines I Love within 7/8 years of the vintage - so I’m a completely unrepentant baby-killer myself!?!
And LOVING it! ![[neener.gif] neener](/uploads/db3686/original/2X/3/3bd35321ffd7ed2243d1d518ebb606d554360600.gif)
