2006 Domaine les Aphillanthes Côtes du Rhône Villages Le Cros - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages (1/12/2010)
With dinner at GlasshHalfull (yes, we eat and drink there alot). Very dark. Mostly primary fruit but beginning to show some secondary nuances. Medium bodied with some tannin. Dark red fruit with some earth but this is mostly a fruit driven drink. A good food accompaniment that may add some depth to the simple fruit with a couple of years in the cellar. The SO enjoyed it more for its upfront but not over-ripe fruit. (86 pts.)
