TN: 2006 Domaine Cheysson Chroubles, 2007 Sineann Zinfandel

2006 Domaine Cheysson Chroubles
$20 Ohio. 12.5%. Ruby in color, clear and bright. The nose has some nice cherries with a bit of earth and crunchy leaves. Nice texture. Medium bodied. On the palate, this is earthy with cherry juice. Still young, it took a couple of hours to open. Needs a couple years to show some complexity. Nice acidity. 50+3+12+17+7=89

2007 Sineann Zinfandel Old Vines
After the Beaujolais, my wife wanted something with a bit more fruit. 15.1% Alc. Inky purple with some ruby at the rim. The nose has a nice peppery note with raspberries, boysenberries and dark cherries. Full bodied. Lots of tight layering, this could use some cellar time to unwind. Plenty of depth and complexity here, but right now it more of a hedonistic experience. This was from a .375. Plenty of room to improve. 50+4+12+18+7=91
