    Roasted meats above deep dark berries and a bit of florals. Palate is straight boysenberries with a nice palate feel and balancing acidity. Big fruit but not overly so. The second day sees the palate gain a bit of weight and pick up some complexity to match the nose which seemed to shine best on day one. Well made balanced Syrah that is a good value at $30.

Thanks for the review. I like what Wells does with this Lake County fruit. One of seveal Rhone Ranger bargains in the $25-$40 price range along with Carlisle, Core, Villa Creek, Jaffurs, Ojai and others.
