2006 Audelssa Estate Winery Summit- USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Valley (11/21/2009)
I’m getting an interesting bit of cinnamon on the nose of this wine - also, a nice balance of dark fruits, spice, and a touch of heat. On the palate, this is actually well integrated for a young wine, more dark fruits and berries, balanced oak, nice dusty tannins, and a very long finish. This is a well made wine. (91 pts.)
I got 4 of those from a special offer on this board. Your note is spot on. I scored all my bottles consitently 90-91. Very good wine, but I prefer them more fleshy and flamboyant.
Jason - The 03 Summit should be drinking pretty well right now. Truthfully, I haven’t had one for 2+ years, but it had plenty of gas in the tank at the time. 92% Cab in that vintage, so it started off with a discernably bigger frame than the 06 which only has 50% Cab.
