2006 Arrivo Nebbiolo Lunga Macerazione - Australia, South Australia, Mount Lofty Ranges, Adelaide Hills (1/6/2012)
The only thing that could give this away as Aussie is just a faint whiff of eucalypt to the aroma, for all other intents and purposes one may think one is a lot closer to Serralunga than Stirling. It has notes of balsamic, mahogany, lipstick, dried figs, red fruits and roses. It is lean, compact and sinewy with tightly coiled tension and real latent power. It is a cerebral wine that comes to the drinker on its own terms but is a hell of a good drink.
