2005 Weingut Spreitzer Oestricher Lenchen Riesling Kabinett - Germany, Rheingau (9/23/2009)
WIML90-91

Tasted September 23, 2009 at an offline.

Opened and served immediately. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of diesel (not present the next day), acacia flowers, peach and a bit of cinnamon. Flavors of peach and sweet cherry notes. Medium acidity and body. Drink or hold. (90 pts.)

Sounds like an interesting one - but I’d be intrigued to see if the unusual fruit notes stick. In 5-10, will the cherry still be showing or will it have transmogrified? I’ll have to read up on the Lenchen, don’t know if it’s known for any unusual typicity ala the UrWurzgarten or the Monster.
