You won’t be disappointed. This is an awesome cab. Striking similarities to the ’05 True. Side by Side, the TRB / JA connection is readily apparent. Yum Yum!

  • 2005 Tor Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 6 Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard - USA, California, Napa Valley, Oakville (8/3/2009)
    Gorgeous nose of fine cigar tobacco and cedar. Liquid graphite and smoky dried cherries in the mid palate. The finish is ridiculously long. Ripe, yet impeccably balanced, with light, satiny tannin. Super ripe, yet paradoxically ethereal. It’s power lays squarely in an uber unctuous, cocoa butter finish that sails on for days. Gains a decadent sweetness with air, but never let’s go of that refined graphite and exotic hardwood spice. Drinking very well today, right out of the bottle. (94 pts.)

I have a bottle of this and other 05 Tor Cabs, haven’t opened this one but I’ve loved the other ones. I don’t get the cocoa finish on the other vineyards, more pronounced cigar and other 2ndary characteristics but I look forward to drinking this one soon =)

I haven’t tried the other cabs yet, but they sound nice to. You definitely need to get into the 05 ToK, its drinking beautifully right now!
