5/26/2009
– popped and poured –
– tasted non-blind 3 days after opening –
– 34% Grenache, 33% Syrah, 33% Mourvedre –
– TN reflects Day 4 –

NOSE: lots of alcohol; rich dark fruits; slight earthy element; oak; hints of anise and smoke; moderately expressive.

BODY: incredibly fine particulate matter suspended in the wine; dark rustic garnet color of medium to medium-deep depth; medium bodied.

TASTE: very ripe and alcoholic (although the alcohol wasn’t quite as offensive as the last bottle I had); tannic; 30-35 sec. finish. A decent wine, but horrible QPR at $34.
