Some sort of a close out at SDWC for only $24.95.
The wine is actually quite good, though not exactly my style. I feel that the wine is somewhat pushing the limit on extraction. But it may me that wines from this particular vineyard taste in this manner–therefore the name–Ink Grade. It does smell a little like ink, like the ink that you put in a fountain pen. You know, a sharp, dark smell of black cherries, that is piercing bittersweet. You have to have had experience with ink to relate to the note.
Also as the wine gets air there is noticible smoke.
Anyway, I think there is quality in this wine, just not my style. NR.
