This was my first bottle of this producer, which I see written up here on the board a lot. I am not a big Syrah guy (this also has Mouvedre and GRenache in it) but we needed a bigger wine to go with Huber Kellers roquefort burgers. The wine was big in profile, a real fruit bomb. Lots of silky blueberries and blackberries. There was some chocolate there as well, but not much else in the way of complexity or spice. It was full bodied, and no hint of the heat from the high ETOH was present. Overall, this was a nice wine, but not exactly my style, as I have been away from California and Syrah in particular. Still, it was very enjoyable. 92 points.
