TN: 2005 Radio-Coteau Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard (USA, California, North Coast, Anderson Valley)

well rounded with succulent fruit, dark cherries and bramble, combined with cinnamon, tamed acidity and powdery tannins; took a tumble and didnt hold up well though later in the day and on day two - drink up, drink fast… (90 pts.)

hmmm… that is a worry. I haven’t even dug mine out into visibility. They are buried deep. So are you saying drink soon after opening … or just drink soon.

Wow. That shocks me! I had a 2003 a couple of years ago which was phenomenal, and I would have expected it to have some more life to it too!

Savoy Vineyard wines are generally made to age gracefully. Really beautiful vineyard.

I think this is drinking nicely now
I haven’t decided when I will check into my final bottle
I was surprised about how it faded over night and will not sip and savor my next bottle
looking at CT, the notes are all over the place - really widespread which is concerning for this bottling

+1

truly love this producers wines.

Hmmm … yeah, I would have expected something that is more vibrant. Had a bottle of the 04 about six weeks ago that was amazing youthful and pure. I recall having a bottle of this about 18 months ago, and it was just so closed up, I decided to lock it up off-site. Might be worth check on it. Thanks for the excellent note, Lorin.
