    Tremendous value, and in a really great spot now. If you are in the mood for a slightly riper fruit syrah, but with good structure, and the stuffing to go with food, this fits the bill. There’s a really beautiful floral component on the nose that I don’t often experience with Syrah - hence the benefit of unique terroir and growing conditions, I presume. Dark berries on the palate match the color of this wine, and there is a nice rustic meaty quality to the flavor profile as well as the finish. While the fruit is a bit on the ripe/sweet side for me, it really works well, all in balance, and has a strong finish to boot. I think this is my favorite Cargasacchi wine thus far, actually… (92 pts.)
