(From 375 ml) pulled a couple of bottles of this wine during a cellar-cleaning, figured that they’re on their last legs and should be consumed pronto. Screwcap-finished, which was a bit reassuring. Color was pale yellow, nose at first a bit muted but developed nicely over the next 2 hours to reveal some fruit with lemons and a nutty element. Somewhat muted fruit on entry, with citrus and nuts and persistent acidity. Probably would’ve been better 5 years ago but still brought pleasure with salmon and salad. 88 points.
nice to see you here after what, a decade absence? Not sure which Matrot, but one of them is widely considered the poster child for premox. A minefield.
That has been my experience.
