TN: 2005 Linne Calodo Problem Child (wine for the R&R Hall of Fame Concert)

  • 2005 Linne Calodo Problem Child - USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles (11/29/2009)
Still good. Evolved a bit since my last bottle more than a year ago. This bottle was double decanted and out for 4 hours. Really red fruit - cherries and pomegranate. I didn’t get as much pepper this time but white pepper is there. Good tannins which are softer now. Doesn’t seem to be 15.2% alcohol. Went great while watching the 25th Anniv concert for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! (92 pts.)

my new years resolution will be dropping off this list. i just don’t get these wines.

+1

That was my resolution a couple of years ago… one of the few I have ever kept!!!

Oh well - now that the crowd has spoken ---- I guess I really don’t like these wines as much as I thought [oops.gif]

Have you visited the new tasting room? It was so fancy that I also made my new years resolution the same.

Live and learn, Ted, live and learn!! [berserker.gif]

My New Year’s resolution is to make it out to the OC more often for tasting lessons grouphug

Linne Calodo makes a wine that a love - a Zinfandel, Mourved, Syrah blend called “Cherry Red.” Had the 06 last night. Sensational.

Had a 2001 Cherry Red two months ago. It beat out a 2005 Carlisle. The only one I will buy from LC.

unfortunately that is not the way their wine club works.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen you…so… yeah… we miss you and your wife… get back out here and we will set you straight!! [thankyou.gif]
